I became desperate to be close again.  I went to my dad’s closet and grabbed his worn-in western shirts. I found comfort in his fabric, I had to figure out a way to make it permanent, something I could “hug” whenever I missed him. 

The Hugillow was born when those first shirts were stuffed.

Time went by and we used the Hugillow to tell our story.  Outfits worn on memorable occasions became Hugillows to remember the day by.  A shirt my husband refused to give up became a Hugillow as compromise.  Sweaters our pup grew out of didn’t have to be given up. 

I started to think about the favorite items I finally let go because they didn’t have a place outside storage.  I wished I had them back.
